You can positively impact the lives of children in your community by driving them to school!Van Trans is immediately hiring School Bus Drivers for our Bronx location.What We Offer: FLEXIBILITYSplit-Shift- Mornings and Afternoons.Use mid-day time as YOU need it.Guaranteed 40 hours per week.FREE Training to prepare for CDL Permit.$750 bonus when you train with us and receive your CDL.$2,500 Sign-on-Bonus for any hired fully licensed NY CDL Driver who has an A, B or C license with P & S endorsements.$21.50/hr for Van$22.00/hr for School Bus.Earned Paid time off/Holidays.401k with company match.Company-paid Life Insurance.Optional Dental & Vision insurance.Job SummaryOperate school buses to transport authorized passengers to and from school programs safely and promptly following prescribed route(s).Assess traffic and road conditions and monitor student behavior and other factors as necessary.Follow all state and federal traffic laws while operating a vehicle. Adhere to DOT and state safety and district requirements and standards while operating a yellow school bus.\Maintain proper CDL and state school bus certifications, including adhering to state and federal guidelines regarding criminal, medical, drug test, and driving records.Assist passengers onto and off the vehicle when necessary.Perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and safety checks as required by company standards and state guidelines.Job Requirements Drivers must be at least 21 with 1 year driving experienceNYS CDL A, B with P & S endorsementsMust have a driver's license to enter CDL permit training (we train you!)Ability to pass a drug test and background checkAbout the Company Van Trans a subsidiary of WE Transport.
