here . - JOB SUMMARY Leads a 11-person Supply Chain team to balance
service, cash, and cost objectives for the fulfillment of FF
customers and products. Drive strategic initiatives/projects that
support cash, cost, and service components for the BU Supply Chain.
Manages supply chain activities for -150M in Revenue, -25-30M in
inventory, and maintain DT1P targets at 3 sites with 3000 SKU's on
13 lines. - How you can Be the Impact
- Development and implementation of a best in class Americas
Supply Chain strategy
- Minimizing working capital by balancing total demand and
matching it with supply capabilities, thus securing an
uninterrupted OTC process for Innovative Plastics.
- Defining the Supply Chain strategy that optimizes feedstock
selection, plant operating windows and product mix.
- Continuously improving the full Supply-Chain-process for the
Americas produced materials in order to meet the business/logistic
targets
- Contributing to the business strategy regarding logistics
aspects in close corporation with Business and Plant
Management
- Optimizes inventory turns (raw materials, feedstock and
finished good versus external/internal sales, by-product sales and
recycle sales Manages customer order fulfilment by ensuring
- Material is produced in time
- Inventory is deployed to support short lead times
- Material is in time ordered from other poles
- Feed stock & raw materials is in time available to support
production RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supply Chain Management:
- Develops the long term Supply Chain strategy that support the
business strategy within the region regarding service and delivery
models, material management and DTW
- Defines short term supply chain tactics on product market
combinations
- Responsible for supply and inventory planning,
production/replenishment/transport scheduling and coordination of
Supply Chain issues with different businesses
- Responsible to define the Raw Materials Supply Plan and
Inventory Targets. Responsible to manage the Raw Material Inventory
level for Europe, by connecting the overall demand and supply
process
- Distribution, Transportation & Warehousing (DTW)
- Manage transportation of finished goods to all AMR destinations
as well as global destinations
- Manage operation of warehouses (finished goods, raw materials
and tolling)
- Manage all aspects of relationship with logistics services
providers
- Responsible for timely closure of Logistic claims and execution
of corrective actions
- Development and implementation of DTW improvement projects:
- Improve our Delivery Reliability to customers (internal and
external)
- Total Cost Out: compile, manage, execute and report TCO project
deck for DTW
- Improve the delivery quality and so reduce customer complaints
on damages
- DTW Sourcing:
- Lead transportation and warehousing sourcing and contract
management for FF in corporation with the other SABIC BUs for
finished goods, intermediates and raw materials
- Material Planning
- Manage production scheduling of all finished goods on the 3 AMR
plants
- Manage the tolling and sourcing operations needed to produce
our finished goods
- Manage finish goods inventories by optimising stock
replenishment methods, consignment stock utilization, and other LST
(Logistics Service Tool) concepts
- Managing the raw material and packaging material inventory in
order to balance working capital and service reliability to our
manufacturing sites
- Responsible for optimizing service levels by managing
production lead times and finished goods stock availability
- Contribute to the Americas S&OP and PSI cycles where we
optimize our resources in order to balance supply and demand
against the optimal cost and lead-time performance
- Drive manufacturing-yield improvement plans from a Scheduling
point of view
- Master Data Management
- Responsible for accurate and timely set up of new warehouses,
customers, items in SAP
- Manage the administrative tasks around claim handling (eg:
credit/debit creation, action item follow-up, interdepartmental
co-ordination in order to close claims timely)
- Creation of Bonus credits for external customers
- Process Improvement
- Continuous improvement of the Supply Chain processes and cost
position, by monthly measuring/analysing Key Performance Indicators
and by developing and implementing improvement projects
- Developing a process improvement plan with short and long-term
view based on the business strategies linked with the Americasand
Global Business Teams. Presents ideas, plans, and projects to
senior management ensuring buy-in and commitment from all critical
stakeholders
- Ensure service level to customers in accordance with FF
business Unit requirements vs cost of customer service
- Deliver on key service metrics (order to delivery cycle time,
stock-outs, delivery to first promise date), key cash metric and
achieve/support key cost metrics.
- Ensures execution to production & inventory targets determined
through S&OP process
- Establishes competitive cost per kg target and creates
strategies and metrics to deliver cost out targets
- Leads export team for SABIC Innovative Plastics to ensure
compliance with all import and export regulations, competitive
cycle times and cost effective shipments
- Serves as key point of contact to the FF commercial teams in
the Americas. Acts as voice of the customer into supply chain
functions. Implements segmented customer service strategy to meet
BU objectives
- Oversees the Order Management Process from Order Receiving
through Material Delivery, including Issue Resolution of this
process when needed
- Oversees growth and development of professional employee's as
direct reports, including: coaching, feedback, and TRP reviews and
discussions. Manages staffing levels and base cost to meet OP plan
commitment What matters to SABIC
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree with a B.A./B.S. in Engineering
(preferably Chemical, Industrial or Mechanical) or Industrial
Management preferred.
- Formal education in Supply chain or related certifications is
preferred.
- Recommended minimum 10 years plant operations and business
planning.
- Prior 5+ years' experience in SCM roles is a must have
- Ability to manage local but diverse teams and work globally is
required -
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles; Six Sigma
Certified a plus
- Working knowledge of SAP or comparable ERP systems
- Excellent knowledge of purchasing best-practices, and
negotiation techniques; Knowledge and experience managing
operations expenses.
- Ability to think strategically and translate strategies into
actionable plans
- High process orientation and analytical approach to problem
solving
- Ability to effectively communicate and influence at all levels
of the organization
- Strong Leadership skills; Demonstrated ability to work in a
team environment.; Ability to challenge and "push back"
appropriately
- Strong financial acumen - comfort level developing budgets and
identifying variance drivers/course correct.
- Results-oriented, strong follow-up skills, ability to
prioritize and handle multiple and competing priorities.
- Regular, predictable in-office attendance is an essential
