The Budget Analyst provides financial and programmatic performance information to management by researching & analyzing data and preparing reports. The Budget Analyst maintains journals, ledgers, financial statements, budgets, program statistics, reports, and contracts under the general supervision of the Budget Director.The position is currently 100% remote but will be hybrid which is10% in the office, 90% remote and is subject to change with or without notice.Requirements:ResponsibilitiesMonitors the budget status, providing monthly budget vs. actual reports to the Program DirectorReviews payroll allocations and ensure payroll reports match payroll allocationsMonitors payroll expenses and tracks trends with payroll data such as uptick on OT hoursMeets periodically with Program Directors to measure progress and address over or under spendingWorks with the Program Analysts and ensures accurate tracking of performance data and timely performance reporting to fundersWorks with management to secure financing for the organization by assisting in the preparation and review of Requests for Proposals and grant applications; develops budgetary recommendationsParticipates in interdepartmental meetings to provide financial and budget dataEnsures that financial reports and vouchers are accurately prepared and submitted on a timely basisAllocates funding sources in Paylocity, HRIS systemEnsures that the Osborne Association complies with all fiscal regulatory and legal requirementsPerform other duties as requiredEducationBachelor's degree is required; a major Accounting, Finance, or Economics is preferredExperienceA minimum of two years of experience in the not-for-profit sector analyzing financial data and preparing vouchers, and/or analyzing payroll data is requiredStrong analytical skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to manage time and resources in a fast-paced environment with many deadlinesStrong Microsoft Office and knowledge of databaseGrant Accounting a plusFamiliarity with Financial Edge is a plusBenefits of Working at OsborneGenerous benefits include four weeks of vacation, tuition reimbursement, a flexible work schedule, excellent Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, and a 403(b) plan with a company match.
