Job Description:
The Stroke Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of
systems and services required to maintain an organized
interdisciplinary patient centered TJC/NYSDOH designated Primary
Stroke Center. The Stroke Coordinator is responsible for supporting
the delivery of evidence based acute stroke assessment and
management, providing expert nursing consultation and practice
oversight, participates in and/or develops performance improvement
inititatives, participates in stroke center research activities and
develops and delivers acute stroke continuing education programs.
Responsible for ensuring the stroke program's compliance with Joint
Commission, New York State Department of Heatlh and American Stroke
Association Standards. Provides coverage for two sites: Mount
Vernon and New Rochelle Hospitals Employment Type: Full Time Years
