The overall purpose of the Admissions Director is to communicate
the value of the facility to the community as well as providing
accuracy of applications for patient admissions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs duties and responsibilities with assigned functional
area within a nursing home facility which may include, but are not
limited to, any combination of the following tasks:
Maintains admission guidelines by writing, updating, and
recommending changes to admission criteria, policies, and
Cultivates referrals/inquiries through business development
Communicating the value of the facility to the community.
Obtains applicant information by requesting completed
applications and medical information; verifying and clarifying
information; interviewing patients and family members; explaining
Communicates in a positive manner to hospital discharge planners
and builds referral sources relationships.
Works with personnel to discuss placement when multiple beds are
Providing tours of the facility to the families of potential
Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent required
Minimum one (1) year job experience in Admissions position
in a healthcare environment.
Comply with the Residents’ Rights and Facility Policies and
Must be detail oriented and have excellent customer service
Friendly, responsible, dependable, team oriented.
Ideal candidate must be a skilled communicator and motivator.
Able to organize and prioritize many tasks effectively.
