Job Description Job Description Top Job Located in COPIAGUE, NY Salary: 60k-70k Job Functions: • Production Scheduling (Foreman's Report): Create, maintain, and distribute the weekly production schedule (Foreman's Report) using the JobBOSS MES system. Update and adjust the schedule daily to reflect changing priorities, shop performance, and expedite requirements. • Constraint-Based Scheduling: Apply constraint-based scheduling principles considering machine capacity, labor availability, order of operations, and workflow through turning, milling, gear cutting, and assembly operations. • Expedite and Priority Management: Manage expedite orders and priority changes while balancing overall shop efficiency and delivery commitments. • Materials Readiness: Ensure required raw materials are available prior to job start per the Foreman's Report. Coordinate with purchasing and inventory to prevent schedule disruptions due to material shortages. • Shop Coordination: Work closely with shop supervisors and operators to align schedules with actual production conditions and ensure executable plans. • Reporting and Communication: Report regularly on the production schedule and communicate risks, constraints, and potential late orders to the Operations Manager and company leadership. Proactively notify sales of potential late orders that may impact customer commitments. • Sales Support: Support sales with accurate lead times and delivery expectations based on current shop capacity and workload. Knowledge and Skills Required: • Experience with manufacturing scheduling or planning • Working knowledge of ERP/MES systems, preferably JobBOSS • Understanding of basic machining and assembly operations • Strong organizational and time-management skills • Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities • Strong communication skills across shop and sales teams • Fluent in English; Spanish language skills a plus Preferred Knowledge and Skills but Not Required: • Experience in a machine shop or job shop environment • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing concepts • Experience coordinating materials or inventory for production 2127OS Express Office: Farmingdale 565 Broadhollow Road Suite 9E Farmingdale, NY 11735
