Job Description:

Epic Special Education Staffing is seeking a passionate and proficient Certified Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year to join our dynamic team dedicated to fostering educational success for children with special needs. Working within primary or secondary school settings, the therapist will design and administer therapy interventions aimed at enhancing students' abilities to perform daily activities and to participate in school settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing children’s educational experiences and a detailed understanding of therapeutic strategies suited to a diverse student population. Assess students' skills and needs to develop occupational treatment plans Collaborate with educators, parents, and other therapists to facilitate integrated services Implement therapy interventions that promote students’ functional abilities Maintain detailed records of students' therapy and progress Stay updated with the latest educational standards and innovations in occupational therapy Guide and mentor occupational therapy assistants Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and provide recommendations for accommodations Strong knowledge of occupational therapy practices and methods Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience with special education and adaptive technologies Ability to design and execute detailed therapeutic plans Skill in managing multiple cases judiciously and empathetically Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid state license in Occupational Therapy NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification Specialized training or certification related to pediatric or school-based occupational therapy is highly valued
