Key Responsibilities: Your primary responsibilities will include walking and caring for our valued clients' pets, primarily dogs, in the comfort of their homes. You should be comfortable with tasks such as picking up after pets, managing indoor accidents, and administering medication when necessary. This is a salaried position that requires you to be available for service visits within our service area from Friday at 4 pm to early Monday at 8 am. The starting salary for this weekend role is $300.00 per weekend. As a family-owned business, we treat our employees with fairness and a warm, familial approach. We are seeking self-motivated individuals who can complete service visits independently, without the need for micromanagement. Service Area: Our service area encompasses the following locations: Stratford Fairfield Westport Weston Easton Southport Trumbull Black Rock Bridgeport Qualities of Our Successful Team Members: We've found that some of our most accomplished team members have backgrounds such as: Experienced Dog Walkers Kennel Workers Doggie Daycare Workers Former Vet Techs Active Retirees Dog Trainers Former Wag and Rover walkers looking for stable employment Your love for pets is the most important qualification! Your Duties: Typically, pet-sitting visits and walks occur within these time windows: Mornings: 7 am - 9:30 am Afternoons: 11 am - 3 pm Dinner Time: 3 pm - 6 pm Bedtime: 8:30 pm - 11:30 pm This is a salaried position with variable workloads on weekends. Some weekends may be busier than others, but you will receive consistent compensation. Availability is key, especially during peak holiday weekends, which are mandatory. Job Requirements: You should be able to walk up to 1-3 dogs privately, as we prioritize individualized care. We do not conduct "pack walks" with multiple clients. Your responsibilities will include checking on dogs, cats, and occasionally other small pets in their homes. Lifting up to 75 lbs and managing multiple large dogs during walks may be necessary. Strong communication skills are essential for regular updates to our office and clients via our app and office manager. All employees must possess a valid driver's license and a reliable, insured vehicle. Basic Requirements: US citizenship or legal authorization to work in the US for at least the next 12 months. Over 18 years of age. Ability to pass a background check and drug test. Full-time local residency in Stratford, Fairfield, Westport, Weston, Easton, Trumbull, Southport, Black Rock, or Bridgeport. Ability to receive legal payment (we do not pay "under the table"). Commitment to this position for 12 months from the date of hire.
