Location: New York, NY Job Type: Contract | Local or Travel Shift:
Night Shift, 7:30 PM–8:00 AM Duration: 14 weeks Payrate: $55 hourly
Position Overview: Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking RN - Med/Surg
for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY. Key
Responsibilities: Performs comprehensive patient assessments and
monitors changes in condition on a medical-surgical unit.
Administers medications, treatments, wound care, and IV therapies
in accordance with provider orders and facility protocols.
Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized nursing care
plans. Collaborates with physicians, case managers, and
interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and
discharge planning. Documents assessments, interventions, and
patient responses accurately in the EMR. Provides patient and
family education regarding disease processes, medications, and
follow-up care. Responds effectively to emergencies and utilizes
appropriate clinical judgment. Maintains compliance with infection
control, medication administration, and hospital safety standards.
Supports new or float staff as needed and contributes to unit-based
quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications: Active New York RN
license required. BLS certification (AHA required); ACLS preferred.
Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience in an acute
care hospital. Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and clinical
decision-making skills. Proficiency with EMR systems and standard
nursing documentation. Excellent communication, time-management,
