Job Description Job Description Position Summary The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic and limited special procedure imaging under the supervision of a clinical director or designee. Responsibilities include preparing patients, operating and maintaining imaging equipment, ensuring radiation safety, and supporting physicians during procedures. The technologist exercises sound professional judgment while maintaining the highest standards of quality and patient care. Key Responsibilities Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures per protocol. Perform and review radiographic images for quality and completeness. Assist physicians during procedures and maintain documentation accuracy. Ensure equipment functionality, cleanliness, and proper maintenance. Participate in quality assurance, safety, and compliance initiatives. Educate and communicate clearly with patients and families regarding procedures. Support workflow through patient check-ins, phone communication, and image processing. Maintain professional behavior and adherence to safety and performance standards. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited radiography program. Active NY State DOH license or limited permit required. ARRT certification (R) required; must maintain 24 CE credits per 2-year cycle. BLS (AHA) required within 90 days of hire. IV certification preferred or obtainable within 6 months. Knowledge of radiation protection and safety standards (Image Gently/Image Wisely). Commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and patient-centered care. Physical Requirements Frequent standing and movement throughout the shift. Ability to lift or assist patients up to 50 lbs. Exposure to medical equipment, chemicals, and frequent interruptions. Compensation & Perks Hourly Rate: $42.68 – $64.04 (based on experience) Sign-On Bonus: $10,000
