Job Title: Registered Nurse - PACU Profession: RN Specialty: PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8H Days, Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 37.5 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current Registered Professional License in Client Certifications: BLS Certification required Must-Have: - BS/BSN degree preferred - 2 years Med/Surg experience - Critical Care experience highly desirable - Flu Vaccine required, no exceptions or exemptions Description: The Registered Nurse in the PACU maintains nursing practice standards as defined by the nursing regulatory bodies. The RN actualizes the vision and values for the healthcare facility. The role involves participation in performance improvement and research activities. The RN is responsible for maintaining professional practice standards and clinical expertise. Demonstrating leadership skills is also a key component of this role. The RN must demonstrate competencies based on the patient population served.
