Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Ambulatory Care Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract Our client, a large social services agency in the Bronx, is seeking an RN to work with the developmentally disabled population. Job Function: Day Shift. 9am - 4:30pm. Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team, coordinating and implementing healthcare services for assigned residences. Develop and revise individualized health care plans in collaboration with physicians and the team. Provide staff training on medical administration, infection control, first aid, and other necessary health care topics. Manage communicable diseases and infections, ensuring proper protocols and staff training. Monitor and ensure proper medication administration, including supervising AMAP certified staff and overseeing prescribed medication. Schedule and track medical appointments, ensuring follow-up and implementing physician recommendations. Supervise and train Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and less experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) on best practices and agency policies. Job Requirements: 2 years of nursing experience working directly with OPWDD patients. Valid NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license.
