Job Description:

A leading long-term care facility in the Bronx is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join their team.*Responsibilities:** Collaborate with other health care providers* Serve in the role of primary care provider to long and short-term residents* Assess patient's health by visiting patients, performing physical examinations, obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories* Team based care, collaborating with the medical attending/physician, as well as nursing home staff to provide the highest standard of care attainable* Build a relationship with residents and families, educating and formulating a plan of evidence-based care, congruent with the patients' needs and desires* Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipate future legislation, enforce adherence to requirements, advise management on needed actions* Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, review professional publications, establish personal networks, and participate in professional societies* Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations* Additionally ensure standards align with the core values of the organization: being respectful, professional, and cognizant of all cultural, personal, and religious beliefs* Review and ensure charting, documenting, and administration of care is up to date and performed in a timely and efficient manner*Requirements:** Physician Assistant license in New York* At least two years of experience working as a PA, preferably with the geriatric population_Please note- The annual base salary range is $150k to $180k. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
