Compass Healthcare Consulting & Placement is conducting a search for an experienced RN Director of Quality for a Home Health Hospice Program that provides a full spectrum of palliative services, including emotional, spiritual, and physical care. The hospice receives patients from referring institutions throughout New York City and the entire tri- state area. Qualified candidates will be a NYS RN with extensive experience within Quality Management, Quality Assessment, Quality Improvement, Utilization Review or Risk Management, at Management level positions, and will have prior Hospice, Palliative Care and/or Certified Home Health Agency (CHHA) experience with Medicare CMS, CPHQ Certified, preferred.RequirementsUnder the leadership of the Medical Director, the Director, Quality Management (DQM) is accountable for the development, management and coordination of the Hospice Performance Improvement and Safety Program.Qualifications: Minimum of five (5) years experience in Nursing and minimum of five (5) years of experience in Quality Assessment and Improvement, Utilization Review or Risk Management required. Two (2) of these years must be in a supervisory position. Knowledge of and experience in Quality Assessment and Improvement, Utilization Review. Knowledge of and experience with hospital and patient information systems. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with individuals from different disciplines in varying positions within and outside the organization. Ability to develop management systems to track data over time. Ability to design and conduct clinical research activities and perform data analysis.Education:Current NYS Registered Nurse license. Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Nursing or health related field required.
