Our Mt. Vernon, IL location is seeking a highly self-motivated and detail-oriented PLT Quality Manager to join our Quality group. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, is dependable and accountable.Are you ready to shape the future with us?THE POSITIONResponsible for all Quality Management activities of the Mt. Vernon Passenger and Light Truck Tire facility and overall Quality Management System for both PLT and Commercial Vehicle Tire facility. 1. Manage and Direct the QA activities in the PLT operations in the Mt. Vernon Plant. 2. Responsible for assuring that all incoming and outgoing products meet or exceed established Quality limits and comply with all required Quality standards. 3. Uses scientific methods, experience, and judgment to keep quality costs as low as practical. 4. Maintain managerial involvement with OE Customers, R&D, and act as liaison between these OE Customers, OE Key Account Management, CQM, other plants, as well as in the Mt. Vernon plant. 5. Assists the production department in the reduction of rework, scrap and waste by the use of prescribed Quality Assurance and Statistical Quality Assurance techniques. 6. Coordinates Q.A. activities in the Mt. Vernon plant with activities of other departments and secure their assistance for a cooperative solution to quality problems and losses. 7. Maintains accurate and complete records and reports quality conditions and problems to management personnel. 8. Select, train and supervise Quality Assurance Personnel to ensure they comply with job descriptions. 9. Insures that QA personnel comply with plant, safety, and environmental policies.10. ISO/TS coordinator/management representative.11. Introduce / initiate standards to instill a proactive not a reactive production mindset. 12.
