H&K Group, Inc., a renowned leader in the construction materials industry since 1968, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Shop Mechanic for both 1st and 2nd shifts at our facilities. The role requires a hands-on mechanic experienced in maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty construction equipment. As a part of our Engineering & Maintenance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our machinery, which is vital for the success of our operations across the Mid-Atlantic region. Perform regular maintenance and repairs on heavy construction equipment including loaders, excavators, mixers, and more. Diagnose faults and malfunctions using diagnostic tools to determine extent of repair required. Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, according to specifications and established safety guidelines. Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that the work done meets manufacturers' specifications and legislated regulations. Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Record details of repairs made and parts used, maintaining an accurate and up-to-date maintenance log. Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment. Strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Medical Insurance 401k Certification from a recognized trade school in Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar field preferred. Valid driver’s license.
