Job Description Job Description /n Performs ultrasound examinations. Calibrates equipment, as needed. Coordinates ultrasound activities and patient flow with Supervisors and the Control Office. /n Job Responsibility /n /n /n - * Performs all Ultrasound examinations presently being offered at Peconic Bay Medical Center. /n - * Orients new Ultrasound Technologists and students and evaluates them. /n - * Participates in quality control and quality assurance programs. /n - * Keeps the room in an orderly fashion. Works with the Radiologists with new concepts in Ultrasound. Keeps records and provides census information. /n - * Processes and oversees processing of films. /n - * Calibrates equipment and camera as needed. /n - * Assigns patients to come down to the Department. /n - * Assigns other duties as needed for the proper flow of patients. /n - * Coordinates and schedules all patients in Ultrasound with the Control Office. /n - * Works cooperatively and maintains ethical relationships with all patients and personnel in the proper conduct of the Department. /n - * Maintains proficiency and understanding in the treatment and care of infant, pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients. /n - * Sends exams to PACS archive. /n - Performs related duties, as required. /n /n *ADA Essential Functions /n Job Qualification /n /n - Graduate of an accredited medical sonography program, required. /n - Registry in a specific sonography specialty appropriate to the position with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), required. /n - Experience in sonography specialty appropriate to the position, required. /n - Per diem role - flexible schedule, preferred. /n - Hospital experience, preferred. /n /n /n *Additional Salary Detail /n The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
