Our Client is one of the leading groups in their industry! They're located in Mt Vernon, NY. CFS has partnered with this organization to help identify a Corporate Controller to join their team!

  What you'll do:
  
  • 
    
  • Overseeing the accounting staff (10 people: Senior Accountant, Inventory Accountant, Treasury, three AP folks, three Junior Accountants)
    
  • Ensuring compliance with financial and accounting regulations
    
  • Managing financial reports and documents, such as balance sheets and income statements
    
  • Handling preparation for tax returns
    
    What we are looking for:
    
    • 
      
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred
      
    • Competence with financial software and technology
      
    • Understanding of financial and accounting standards and regulations
      
    • Organizational and time management skills
      
    • Leadership skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
      
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
      
    • At least 10 years of public and/or private management accounting experience
      
    • Ideally someone with petroleum or retail industries (or someone with multi-location and multi-entity experience)
      
    • Must be able to manage a high-transaction team as they continue to grow via acquisitions
